THE MOTOR VEHICLE INSPECTION PROCESS
Inspection Center means a facility that is licensed and qualified to inspect and determine if the described vehicle’s components are fully functional and in good working order.
- Inspections are only required on vehicles that are more than 2 years old from the manufacturers in-service date/purchased date new, or when mileage exceeds 50,000 kilometers – whichever comes first.
- An inspection is required if the owner is not the original owner.
- The vehicle must go through an approved inspection center prior to coverage being issued to ensure and provide written proof that all components are in place and in proper working order on the coverage effective date and that they are properly maintained in accordance with the manufacturer’s specifications.
- You retain copies of all receipts as proof of maintenance performed including oil changes, lubrication, etc, which will be required in the event you file a claim.
